On March 1st, junior students in Vance Co. will participate in the administration of the ACT. Test.

March 2020, the University of North Carolina (UNC) Board of Governors revised the composite score requirement for admission to UNC system institutions from 17 to 19.

The ACT is a timed test and preparation is essential. Early College ACT Test Prep and Tutoring will be Feb. 14th-24th. Notification of students' tutoring schedules will be sent to their VCS email account.

TEST DATE: Juniors will report to VGCC Civic Center at 8:30 on March 1st; testing will end at 1:00 pm. Food, beverages, and electronic devices will not be permitted in the testing site; however, fruit, water, and snacks will be available for students during a test break.

A medication form must be completed and submitted to Nurse Sanford for all over-the-counter and prescription medications. Please contact Nurse Sanford at rasanford@vcs.k12.nc.us for more information and to access VCS's student medication form.

Application season for 2022-23 freshman class: Jan. 31, 2022 - Feb. 28, 2022

Applications are accessible via the school and district websites from Jan. 31 - Feb. 27.

Completed applications must be returned directly to the VCS district office by Feb. 28, 2022.

BEFORE MONDAY, February 14...

1. Have your parent/guardian log on and follow the below attached Vance Parent Playbook instructions.
2. PARENTS/GUARDIANS MUST CREATE AN ACCOUNT BEFORE THE STUDENT!
3. Once your parent creates an account, they can add you as a student. Coach Sharrow and I will upload your physical information after seeing your parent/guardian create an account.

Students may also register now for fall and winter sports.

Time is running out to purchase tickets for the VCECHS Senior Beta Club Society Valentine's Day raffle on February 14, 2022. Each student will be eligible to buy tickets ranging from prices of $5, $3, and $2.

The winner of the $5 ticket will receive a big teddy bear, chocolates, and sparkling apple cider along with a $15 Amazon gift card.

The winner of the $3 ticket will receive Valentine's Day basket along with a $10 Starbucks gift card.

The winner of the $2 ticket will receive Valentine's Day teddy bear and a mug along with a $10 chick-fil-a gift card.

Proceeds from this project will go towards financing Early College Sr. Beta Clubs' community service outreach project.
