The Blue Angel Weekly

February 21, 2023

Dear PCA Families,

Please continue to pray for Mrs. Earp! She is having her surgery today. Please email me directly with any questions or issues during her recovery time, so she can focus on healing! I will keep you updated this week! Storm heaven with prayers!

Please also continue to pray for Ms. Cashin! Pray for the Lord to keep her strong!

Please note: We will have our Children's Mass tomorrow for Ash Wednesday at 9:40 AM. Parents are always welcome to attend!

terranova testing and snacks

Our Terranova standardized testing for grades 2-8 will take place on February 23, 24, 27, and March 1. PLEASE BE SURE STUDENTS ARRIVE TO SCHOOL ON TIME, GET A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP AND EAT A GOOD BREAKFAST!!

We are not collecting snacks for testing as we have done in the past. Instead, we are asking parents to send an additional dry snack and bottled water for Terranova testing time. This will be IN ADDITION TO their regularly packed lunch snack.

A special Lenten Opportunity

Have you been trying to find a way for you and your family to enter Lent with an enthusiastic commitment to Christ through almsgiving and prayer to grow into the best versions of self? Embark on this Spiritual journey on Ash Wednesday, February 22nd at the Lenten Family Prayer Service at Our Lady Star of the Sea. Palmer Catholic Academy will be leading the OLSS Student Walking Stations of the Cross at 5:15 p.m. in the church. You and your family have an opportunity to be active participants in this beautiful event and all are invited to remain to receive ashes immediately following the stations. Also, please consider staying for Confession, which will be offered starting at 6:00pm and Mass, which begins at 7:00pm. This is an amazing way to begin the season of Lent as a family!
