CAESP Update

Hi CAESP Team,

We hope that everyone is having a great start to 2019! Thank you to everyone who took time to complete our survey back in November. There were several items of concern shared. We will be looking for our members to provide feedback and take the lead with the developing solutions. In no particular order, the items below were listed as top priorities based upon the number of responses:

  • Substitute shortages
  • Transportation
  • Differentiated staffing
  • Facilities
  • Special Education staffing
  • BISS support

Questions were raised regarding the budget process. Katie Matheny and Nicole Boone are the principal representatives that are serving on the budget committee. They will provide us with an update following their next meeting scheduled for January 9.

In addition to our advocacy work, it is our goal to provide opportunities to catch up, share celebrations, and make connections. Mark your calendars now for the following events:

Got books?

Many admin teams purchase books for their staff over the years and sometimes we end up with a few extras. Would you be interested in a PD book swap with CAESP if people had extras? Admin could use them for "prize boxes, " book tastings" or just pass on to a staff member who would benefit. Let us know if you'd like to participate - Book Swap
