RECHS has teacher workdays on Monday (1/3) and Tuesday (1/4). Second semester high school classes begin on Wednesday (1/5). RCC classes begin January 10, 2022.

The Commons will be closed until January 10, 2022 for textbook distribution!

Announcements for Juniors and Seniors

  • Your seminars will begin Monday, January 10, 2022.
  • You can see your schedule in PowerSchool and Moodle.
  • If you want a paper copy of your schedule, feel free to come by January 4th and see Ms. Scott.
  • You can also email Ms. Scott with any questions.

Textbook Distribution

Juniors and Seniors---you can come by the commons 1:00pm-4:00pm January 6th, 7th or 10th to pick up your textbooks.


Freshmen and Sophomores---we will call you by class during the school day.

Check Your Moodle!!

All students need to check their Moodle for correct rooms and times for college classes. This information may have changed since it was placed in PowerSchool.


If you see a discrepancy, please see Ms. Scott so we can correct PowerSchool.

Check RCC email for instructions on how to locate your schedule in Self-Service.


In order to find your spring schedule, please follow the steps in this video. When you look at your schedule, if it says "Planned" then you are not registered for that course. Your registered courses are the ones that say "Registered but not started" underneath them. Please disregard the others.


Remember that it’s not too late to add more spring courses! If you’d like to make any changes, please contact me by January 6th, 2022.


Classes begin on January 10th, 2022. Don’t forget to log in and complete your syllabus quizzes for each class and pay attention to school announcements for information about textbook pick up!

RCC/RCSS/ACS March 8 Senior Event

Seniors WITHOUT post-graduation plans, this is for you!!!


On March 8, 2022, Randolph Community College and other organizations are hosting an event to show you opportunities available within Randolph County. RCC will showcase their programs, a job fair will occur, and military recruiters will be present. Seniors can come in any of the time blocks below:

· 9:15-11:15 (reserved for HS seniors)

· 12:15-2:15 (reserved for HS seniors)

· 4:00-6:00 (open to the public)

In Need of Volunteer Hours?

Randolph Community College is hosting an event on March 8 and they are in need of volunteers. Volunteers can be 9th-12th graders. Please contact Shea Grosch sgrosch@randolph.k12.nc.us if you would like to volunteer. Please be aware that it is during our spring break.

    SGA will give away a number of prizes for services like Netflix, Hulu, and others through a virtual hunt for an armadillo! Here’s how you can win!

    1) Follow SGA on Instagram at @randolphccsga

    2) Check our Instagram story each Friday at 11am for a picture of our little armadillo friend and this week’s prize located somewhere in Randolph County

    3) Email your answer to the armadillo’s location to sga@randolph.edu use your RCC student email address before our Instagram story disappears from our page!

    4) If you are the first correct answer for that week, you win that week’s prize

    5) Even if you are not first, if your answer is correct, you are entered in a drawing for a grand prize at the end of our contest. Each correct answer enters you in the final drawing again! So, for each week you submit a correct answer, you increase your odds of winning the grand prize!

    Need to create a resumé or cover letter or to work on interview techniques? Want to learn how to job search or how to use technology to enhance your job search? Need assistance with an application or training in soft skills? Randolph Community College is here to help with its Employability Skills Lab.

    The lab, which is free to all RCC students, is from 1-4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning Aug. 17, in the Student Services Career Center on the Asheboro Campus. No appointment is necessary. Students attending any Employability Skills Lab will be eligible to choose one item of free professional clothing from The Armadillo Career Closet.

RCC Graduation Application

The graduation application is now open for Spring '22 and is accessible through Self-Service, instructions are attached. Seniors who have planned to graduate with a college degree and/or certificates need to fill this out as soon as possible so if there are classes we missed there is still time to adjust their Spring schedule. The registrar's office reviews the plan of study and is getting back to students within the same day letting them know if they are on track to graduate.

RECHS Expectations Concerning Absences Due to Quarantine

When students are absent due to Covid quarantine protocols, students need to be mindful of the following expectations:

  • Students must check their high school and college email daily.
  • Students need to email their high school teachers daily by 12:00 pm for attendance purposes.
  • Students need to check Canvas and Moodle daily.
  • Students need to communicate with their college instructors.
  • Students need to complete the Covid Exposure Concern form for RCC.
