CHANGE is Still Happening!
Please congratulate Shira as she transfers to Hickory Hills to teach Kindergarten after 13 years at Gray. We will miss her greatly at Gray but her being closer to home and with her daughters is priceless. Best wishes Shira! Come back when your kids are grown;)
Stars and Wish
Stars:
- The level of expertise being observed during Math IC checks has been amazing! The support that each child receives at their level in math and reading throughout the day while providing grade level material is very hard to do as a teacher and we have some expert teachers here!
- I love seeing all the ways you communicate with parents - DoJo - See Saw - Facebook - Newsletters - emails - phone calls - and conferences! Being transparent and responsive to students' needs in partnership with parents is one of the most powerful interventions and support we can offer to students.
- Thank you Wendy for all the hard work you did putting together the Imagine Grant video and to the many people that shared input and ideas - especially, Cary, Heather S., Heather Y., Debbie, Wendy, and Stephanie. Thank you also to those that shared and liked the video on Twitter:)
Wish:
- How do you tell the story of the great things happening in your classroom? How do you share the successes? How do you celebrate growth with your students and set new goals? Take time these last several weeks to honor growth and share the successes with your students and families!
Input
Everyone take a moment to take this quick input on your top 2 grade level choices you would like to teach next year.

Teacher and Staff of the Month for March
Congratulations to Jennifer Hampton and Linda Friedly for being teacher and staff of the month for March. Both of these ladies are amazing educators that make Gray an even better place to be each day. Gray is fortunate to have these two on staff!
Math IC Checks
Please send 2 dates that would work for you to have me observe math workshop before the end of April. I have about half scheduled at this point.
Collective Efficacy - Jenni Donohoo
Collaboration matters; therefore, it would be advantageous to understand the process of change from a perspective that takes into account the dynamics of professional relationships. Change is dependent on relationships within a system. In organizations, real power and energy are generated through relationships.
Teacher Banquet
If you want to attend the Teacher Banquet on April 16 please let me know. Also, if you haven't provided input on Imagination Station yet please do so. Thanks!
