Paper Plus Book Buying Extravaganza

Thursday, June 23rd, 5pm

251 George Street

Dunedin, Otago

Join us at Paper Plus for an hour or so of leisurely book buying, accompanied by drinks and nibbles. As well as the usual 20% discount for all school library purchases, you will also be given 20% off any personal purchases you might make. Take advantage of the knowledgeable Paper Plus staff and find out what's new/popular/interesting/exciting. You will also be able to talk to fellow school librarians and see what they are buying for their libraries, what's popular with their students and what they have been reading themselves (and would recommend). Everyone present will be in the draw for a spot prize provided by Paper Plus.

We all love new books AND catching up with each other, so this will the perfect way to spend an hour or so.

Car parking is available in the Meridian Mall car park, with the first hour of parking free.

AGM and Dinner

Thursday, June 23rd, 6:30pm

218 George Street

Dunedin, Otago

After our book buying and browsing at Paper Plus, we will move across the road to the Golden Harvest Restaurant for a quick SLANZA Otago AGM, followed by library chat and social gossip over dinner.

The items on the AGM agenda (see below) are mostly routine so the meeting part of the evening is not expected to take very long. We are, however, very sad that after many years of valuable service on behalf of SLANZA Otago, Greig Daniels is stepping down as the Otago representative to the National Executive at this AGM. If you would be interested in taking on the role of National Executive rep, please contact a committee member to register your interest or get in touch with Greig to find out more about the role and the fantastic professional development opportunities it provides. The National Executive are a great team to work with, making this a very enjoyable way to contribute to SLANZA and benefit our members.
