The Cherokee Chronicle
I hope you and your family had a restful, safe, and enjoyable Thanksgiving! Just a few updates as we move into December.
The school board voted at their November 23 meeting to continue Fully Virtual until January 8. They will meet January 4th to re-evaluate the situation. The fully virtual plan in the box below will stay in place during this time.
With this continued virtual environment, I am pleased to announce that at this time, all students at Lamar have access to a Chromebook (or other device), to wifi (or a hotspot), or have been provided with alternatives for accessing their digital content.
Also, the STAR testing previously planned for December 10-17 has need cancelled due to a continued rise in Covid cases.
Finally, with inclement weather on the horizon, please make sure you are signed up for the WCDE Emergency Text Alert system using the button below. This system will send emergency alerts including school closure information via text message.
If you have any questions or if I can be of assistance, please call the school at 423-753-1130 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
