ICCS Mission Statement:
DETAILED INFORMATION COMING SOON
The health and safety of our school community are a top priority. As always, thank you for your support, patience, and cooperation.
A MESSAGE FROM OUR NEW PRINCIPAL
Dear ICCS Parents,
I am thrilled to welcome you all back to the Immaculate Conception Cathedral School for this coming school year! I am grateful for this opportunity to serve as your principal in this community that is faithful, strong, and determined. This community has been through much suffering in the past year, and although I was not here to experience it with you, I know that our wonderful faculty and staff continued to strive for excellence in the midst of those trials, and we will continue to do so this coming school year. Our mission statement, “strengthening spirits, minds, and bodies through the teachings of Jesus Christ,” animates every piece of our school, and as principal, I will continue to uphold that mission as the foundation for everything that we do.
I hope this will help you to get to know me a bit better, and if I have not met you yet, I very much look forward to doing so. I am a Religious Sister of Mercy and our charism is mercy. We live this charism by striving to be the light of Christ in the misery of mankind, which is symbolized by the black and white crosses that each Sister wears. We serve in a variety of fields including education, medicine, and administration. We highly value the integration of academics and faith as many of our Sisters pursue higher-level degrees in various fields for service of the Church.
This coming year, I look forward to building an authentic Catholic community that strengthens the spirits, minds, and bodies of our students. Jesus is, “the way, the truth, and the life,” (John 14:6). In teaching our children the Faith and integrating it into our academics, our students can have the fullness of life because of their relationship with Jesus. I am a firm believer that academic rigor is not stifled by theological pursuits, but is in fact upheld and bolstered by them.
As principal, you can expect me to uphold and to continue building the spiritual life of our school in the teachings of Jesus Christ and His Church. You can also expect me to work with our very talented faculty and staff in upholding the academic excellence of the Cathedral School. I will strive to be attentive to the needs of each of your children and work to create an environment in which all can thrive. As parents, you are the primary educators of your children. This mission of forming our children cannot be done alone and I ask for your support in their formation and education.
In this coming year, I look forward to assisting and serving you in the education of your children. I would love to get to know each of you, so please do not hesitate to contact me. My email address is sistermarynoel@iccsweb.com.
Let us ask the intercession of our patroness, Mary, the Immaculate Conception, that we may work together in strengthening the spirits, minds, and bodies of our children in the teachings of Jesus Christ and His Church.
In Christ,
Sister Mary Noel Pereira, RSM
