A Message From Dr. Lambert
Good Afternoon,
The last day of school is both sad and joyous. There is a sadness because a chapter is closing. Some of our kiddos are moving on to other schools. Some of our colleagues are moving on to other endeavors. There is joy because we have spent time with our students, and we know the amazing humans they are. As educators, we take pride in being a small part of the growth of students.
This year, more than most, it is hard to say goodbye. Each day of school has been a piece of normal for our kids. What I will remember most from this school year is the joy of kids involved in school (both online and in-person). I am thankful our students had a school full of the most amazing educators you will meet to support them. I am grateful for the emails of thanks and support. I am overwhelmed by parents who volunteered as soon as the opportunity became available.
It is my absolute privilege to have been called to this work at Bush Elementary at the time I was. To have helped navigate these uncertain times with you has been the work of a lifetime. Our journey together continues, and next year we will all work to Be Someone's Hero.
I love you all,
Dr. Jarod Lambert
Principal

Counseling Survey
The Bush School Counselor would like to survey parents and teachers in order to develop and provide programs that meet the students' needs. This survey will help her determine the needs of the students individually as well as which topics she may need to address in the classroom and small group sessions. The survey is anonymous, as we require no identifying information other than grade level unless you choose to add your student's name. Our counselor would appreciate your time in answering the questions on the link below. Thank you for helping us better meet the needs of your children.
In our counseling lessons this month, we are talking about personal and Internet safety. Please see resources below to continue the discussion at home with your student. Feel free to contact me should you have any questions or need additional resources.
Summer will be here soon! See idea below for keeping young minds and bodies active.
Sincerely,
Angie McGhee
