Staff Shout Out: The Amazing Liberty Knerr!
January has started off busy in the office... and we are so thankful for Liberty! Liberty truly does it all... welcoming new students, withdrawing students, working with families on attendance and resources of support, answering questions.. all with a smile! We are so grateful for her!
UPDATED! Recess Numbers:
Our Tier One Team met this week and we have decided to change our recess line numbers. The reason behind this change is to create a separation between grade levels in line in hopes of reducing the hands-on that occurs when waiting to be picked up.
Please see and relay to students: Updated Recess Numbers
Thank you for working with your students on this change!
SWIS Data:
Here is our school- wide SWIS Data for December 1- January 10, 2024.
Connecting All Dolphins:
Our 4th and 5th graders recently were surveyed for our January check-in on whether they feel safe at school and have an adult that knows and cares about me. The bulletin board has been updated as well.
Here are the most recent results: Connecting All Dolphins
Thank you to everyone who has intentionally worked to make connections and express their care for our identified dolphins!
Coming Soon... Celebration Board!
Brought to you by our Tier One Team... look for details in the coming week!
Character Dare: Perseverance
Choose 2-3 students to provide “Sandwich Feedback” to this week - the bread is starting and ending with positives, while the middle is the feedback. Start with voicing high expectations and high beliefs in the student. Give the feedback about how to best use Perseverance skills in class. Finally, end by stating a positive quality you like about the student. It might sound like this, “I expect all students to stick to problems in this class even when they are hard and I believe in you to Persevere when something is challenging. I want you try this problem again and see if you get a new answer.”
Google Classroom Learning Opportunity:
Are you interested in learning more about the premium features available in Google Classroom? This is a reminder that our first Google session - Get the Most Out of Premium Google Classroom Features - will be happening via Google Meet today from 4pm-5pm. This is the first in a series of three sessions designed to support staff in making the most of all the tools available in the Google Suite. For more information about each of these sessions, click here.

The District STEM Fair and Art Show is coming!
Registration is currently open and will close on January 25, 2024. Here is the information to share with families: STEM Fair Registration 2024
This year's event will be on Saturday, February 24th, 2024. One of the highlights of the STEM Fair is having students showcase their learning through projects. All students K-12 are encouraged to submit and showcase a STEM project at this year's event. One change to be aware of: in an effort to align with the Discovery Regional Science Fair, we are moving from the traditional trifold to a digital format. Students grades 3-12 will be asked to submit their project as a Google Slides presentation, and students K-2 will have the option of submitting a trifold or a digital project. Detailed instructions are provided in the project packets.
We will be in touch about a school-wide project soon!
Tooth fairies are coming on Thursday, January 25th
Tooth Fairies will be set-up in the Library, Thursday January 25th for oral screening for our 1st-3rd graders. We have attached a picture of the schedule. Thank you for being so accommodating!
