Hello, Mustangs!
What a beautiful week this has been! The teacher appreciations were absolutely the best treats ever! From the smiling hugs to those precious flowers (including Dandelions) to those delicious meals...your appreciation was truly felt by all. Thank you for making this one very awesome week!!!
This week will bring testing to our 4th graders, Monday through Thursday with make up testing for all grade levels on Friday. We thank you for helping our students maintain a regular bedtime, balanced breakfast, and low stress. This is a time for our students to show off their learning and their hard work with confidence. Thank you!
Please remember that Menchie's Day is on Wednesday and that we also have our Lexington Relay for Life on Friday evening. Please join us for both events!
Enjoy the weekend! Read and document your child's reading on the Blowfish Reading Log! Our night at the ballgame is June 5!
Best wishes,
Jan Fickling, Principal of Midway Elementary

Miles to Excellence celebrated their year with their Final Mile!
We had our Miles to Excellence Celebration this week. Our students have worked hard all year to earn their miles. They ran their last mile, played games, Kona Ice delivered cool treats and Publix donated water and chips to help hydrate and nourish our bodies after they ran their last mile. Thank you to the parents who came out to assist us during the year. A gigantic thank you to Mrs. Adams, Mrs. Farrell, Mrs. Holder, Mrs. Ayers and Mrs. Owens who helped us deliver an awesome program that kept our children moving after school.
