REMIND offers teachers a free, safe and simple way to instantly text students and parents. Teachers can send or schedule reminders, assignments, homework or motivational messages directly to students' and parents' phones. Interactions are safe because phone numbers are kept private and messages are sent with no open replies. The app can translate messages into more than 70 languages. It is available for both IOS and Android. Click here to hear how one teacher uses REMIND in her classroom and/or check out this article outlining five reasons you should REMIND.

Hmmm – is it true?

  • If you get school culture right, most of the other things in your school will take care of themselves.
  • School culture will either enhance or impede students’ spiritual formation and academic learning.
  • School leaders and teachers must attend to the “small stuff.”

These questions and others will be discussed at the July Unconference for Urban Christian Educators which will be held at Daystar School in Chicago on July 20 and 21. Cost is only $100.00. Here are three reasons to attend:

  • It will be a time for you to learn from your colleagues who are involved in the same work you are.
  • We need your expertise as we explore the challenges of building and maintaining school culture in urban school.
  • We are stronger together and this will be a prime opportunity to network with peers and encourage and support each other.
