SHOP SPIRIT WEAR at the SCHOOL STORE!
Still need your Penny Road Spirit t-shirt?!
Due to popular demand, we are moving up the first school store of the year to Tuesday, September 5! The store will be set up in the cafeteria from 8:45 am - 9:10 am. This is your first chance to get spirit sticks!! And we will also have t-shirts available to purchase if you haven't gotten your PRE gear yet!!
Another easy way to order Spirit Wear is through the School Store. (Please be sure to include the teacher's name in the "note to seller" box so we know where to deliver.)
There are multiple spirit days planned throughout the year, so be sure to get your shirts!
Chess Club is back!
Penny Road's Direct Donation Campaign

advance for your support! If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Greco, VP of Fundraising at jafiori@hotmail.com
Birthday Celebrations at Penny Road
From your Wellness Committee:
We love recognizing birthdays at school! Each day during morning announcements, birthdays are announced and students make a special trip to the office for a little birthday surprise (even our students with weekend birthdays and summer birthdays will have this experience). If you would like to recognize your child’s birthday in your own way, please check with your child’s classroom teacher before making any arrangements! Penny Road Elementary tries to adhere to the USDA Smart Snacks in Schools Policy.
For ideas on healthier birthday treats, as well as alternative birthday celebrations, please see the school website for some ideas from Mrs. Martin, our P.E. teacher. http://www.wcpss.net/domain/7533.
Even better, donate a book to our school library in honor of your child from Mrs. Platts’ Amazon wish list: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/ref=cm_wl_search_1?ie=UTF8&cid=A3UVPB55O3HILR.
Feel free to email Mrs. Martin with any questions: cmartin@wcpss.net
