Fifth Grade Newsletter
February 1, 2016
Message to Parents,
We are collecting Blow Pops to sell as a candy grams next week. We are selling the candy grams to raise funds for students who cannot afford the end of the year field trip, and to contribute to the cost of the Fifth Grade Celebration. Please send in any amount you are willing to donate. Thank you,
Fifth Grade Team
The fifth grade will have a Valentine's Day card exchange in the afternoon on Friday, February 12th. The students will need to decorate a box or bag at home to collect cards from their classmates. Homeroom teachers will send home a list of with number of students and first names so you can fill out the cards. We will not have a party, but you are welcome to send in individually wrapped treats if you like.
We will be collecting baby pictures (under 1 yr old) of 5th graders for the yearbook. You can email them to firstname.lastname@example.org or send them in for us to scan. Please send them in NO LATER than Friday, February 26!
A lot of students have returned to school at this midway point without school supplies. Please check with your child to see if they need more notebook paper or pencils. Teachers have a limited supply to share with students.
Please return the Child Speak Up, Be Safe permission slips as soon as possible. Mrs. Stewart will be starting these classes this month. Students who do not return permission slips will be sent to an additional study hall.
For this Fridays daddy/daughter dance we will be selling long stemmed white roses with personal tags for your daughters! They will be $3 each...cash only please!
The PTO still needs volunteers for decorating during school as well as after on Friday the 5th. If you can be available any time please contact email@example.com right away!
Thank you all for support!
