Carlisle Library
March 2018
Hello Coyotes!
It is March and spring is in the air...sort of. We had a lot of fun in the library in February with our Bluebonnet ice cream party and Engineering Week. March promises to be a fun month also. We will kick it off with a celebration of Dr. Seuss during Read Across America Week. We want to thank the district leaders who came in and read to our students this week. The kids really enjoyed it! Some students will also enjoy listening to the author Yvette Grove read her book, Lily's Deliciously Different Day! on Friday.
March 8th is Open House at Carlisle, so while you are making the rounds, stop by the library and look at some of the fun projects that were made for Engineering Week. These projects were not easy and I'm very proud of the hard work and effort that the kids invested into making them.

Bucket Towers
The above picture shows 4th graders building bucket towers using straws and tape. Then they added a suspension bucket that could hold weight. Mission accomplished!
