MS. LIZ'S WISHLIST - GIFT ITEM DUE FRIDAY 5/10
Below is Ms. Liz's wishlist. The idea is that we are all going to pick something from her list and buy it for her as a gift and present it to her this Friday.
Ms. Liz wrote me back, just today, and got all excited about wanting this:
"Oooooh what I would REALLY love is if some parents could come in this week to help clean the room! After school has been using the room all month and it feels really dirty. Since they've moved locations, I would love to get the class feeling clean again!", I felt bad reading this, knowing they've all been sitting in a dirty class so I'm volunteering to help make her class squeaky clean. Doug and I are available Wednesday. Anyone else down to get, down-and-dirty? Please email me.
Now, for her real wish-list, here's what she shared:
"If I had to pick something in the "gold" category, it would probably be a document camera to be able to show artifacts or step-by-step work with the whole class. They're pretty pricey though. Our curriculum just came out with this set of books too, which looked pretty awesome: http://www.heinemann.com/products/E02108.aspx.
For the everyday items, markers, colored pencils, more 1 inch binders, watercolor sets, board games, large-sized legos or blocks for golden time..."
So there it is. She's not really asking for much. DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT "DOCUMENT CAMERAS" AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, CAN BUY IT AT A DISCOUNTED PRICE?? I HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH THESE THINGS COST BUT IF THEY ARE NOT TOO EXPENSIVE, PERHAPS WE CAN PUT OUR MONIES TOGETHER AND GET HER ONE. WOULDN'T IT BE NICE TO GET HER THE "GOLD"? :). Please let me know your thoughts.
REMINDER: TURN IN YOUR (2) PERMISSION SLIPS for Class trip THIS FRIDAY 5/10
There are two waivers to be signed and returned, that you should have found in your child's homework folder this week. One from the Wetlands and a CWC permission slip. Please sign and return both, as soon as possible!
