CROSS COUNTRY CITY MEET WINNERS
Congratulations to the CHS Girls and Boys Cross Country Teams for winning the Chandler City Meet last week. Several CHS Cross Country Runners were also named to the All-CUSD Teams: Kerri Welch, Kylie Welch, Becca Taylor, Ava Hamilton, Mihajla Milovanovic, Chris Ruiz, Gabe Garcia, and Graham Eversden. Additional congrats to Coach Matt Lincoln, CUSD Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year!
ACEE CONTEST WINNERS
Two CHS students have received recognition from the Arizona Council of Economic Education for the 2018 Calendar Contest. Amanda Peet was awarded Honorable Mention (1 of 17 students statewide), and Marco Camacho will have “Scarcity” published in the annual calendar AND receive a monetary award. Huge congratulations to these two talented students representing Chandler High!

AVID PARENT NIGHT
AVID students hosted a showcase of their work last Thursday. They led parents through the process of tutorials, binder checks, Cornell Notes, college research and more. In addition, representatives from ASU, GCU, and Be a Leader were on hand to answer questions and give away goodies.
SPIRIT WEEK
This Friday CHS Varsity Football hosts the Hamilton Huskies, and it’s Spirit Week leading up to a “Blue Out” at the game. The block party starts at 5:00pm on Erie St, south of the field with food trucks and music. Purchase the “Blue Out” Spirit Pack, be a part of our first Wolf Walk, and get VIP student seating. Upgrade to a long-sleeved shirt for $5 more. Food trucks include Waffle Crush and Traveling Cup. You don’t want to miss this!
DECA BOO GRAMS
9TH GRADE PARENTS- IMPACT CHANDLER SCHOLARS PROGRAM
On Monday October 23rd, all ninth graders attended a presentation on the Chandler Education Foundation’s IMPACT Chandler Scholars Program. This program is a recognition reward program for CUSD students that demonstrate academic excellence, exemplary attendance, and a commitment to service in their community. To start the eligibility process, students must complete and submit the Student Participation Commitment Form during 9th grade within the enrollment period of October 23 – November 6. PLEASE encourage your 9th grade student to submit the form to their World History teacher or Kirsten Wiley in counseling by Friday, November 3rd. For more information, visit the CEF webpage.

CHS is putting together a CHS team to help at the October 28th “For Our City” event. We will be collaborating to paint a neighborhood wall along Galveston Street. If you’d like to volunteer to be a part of our group, please sign up using sign up genius. This would be a great event for all ages!

COLLEGE PRESENTATIONS
All college visits will take place in the CHS College & Career Center, unless otherwise specified. Students should sign up outside of the College & Career Center to attend a presentation. They will receive a pass in class on the day of the presentation.
CARE CENTER THANKSGIVING donations needed
Each year our student organizations join in a campus-wide effort to collect needed items for the Chandler CARE Center’s Thanksgiving Family Assistance Day. Community donations of canned goods, boxed goods and toiletries can be received in the front office between now and Wednesday, November 15th. Thank you for your support!
