Indian Grove Parent Update
June 2020
From Mrs. FIsher - Principal
Today is the final day of the 2019-20 school year. It is also the last school day for my career in District 26. After 27 years as principal at Indian Grove and 8 years working between Euclid and River Trails Middle School, it is time to retire and spend some time with family and friends. I would like to thank everyone who has crossed my path during my time in District 26. You will all be forever in my heart and have had a profound influence on my life.
This final newsletter is being sent just to inform parents/guardians of some updates about the end of this school year and preparing for the 2020-21 school year with a new administration and a new journey with students. During these past ten weeks, the families in the IG community have done a tremendous job keeping our students engaged. Our teachers planned some excellent lessons and integrated technology so that students could still connect with their teachers and peers. While we still don't know what the start of the 2020-21 school year will look like, we do know we want to give IG students the best opportunity to continue to learn and grow throughout their elementary careers.
Please take the time to look through this short update and to keep checking your email, our webpages, and social media sites for updates throughout the summer. It has been my pleasure to serve as your principal and I wish you all the best in the years to come.
Respectfully,
Lynn Fisher
Principal
WE ARE WORKING ON...

Students should keep their Chromebooks over the summer.
Report cards for the third trimester were emailed on June 3. There will be no paper report cards given at the end of the year.
Indian Grove library books can be dropped off at IG using Door #1 for the whole month of June. The door is open from 7:00 am to - 5:00 pm. THIS IS A TIME CHANGE FROM PREVIOUS EMAILS.
All the student supplies, medications, and other materials were to be picked up at school by 3 PM on June 3rd. There are bags for 17 students left. Thank you to all the families who picked up their belongings!
