Serious Consequences for Smoking or Vaping in School
Smoking or vaping on school grounds is illegal and any student caught can expect serious consequences. Please support the College by talking with your child/ren and ensure they do not bring vapes or cigarettes to school.
Exit Permits
The school is currently receiving a number of requests from parents for early release of their child/ren. School hours are between 8.40am- 3.20pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday with a late start on Tuesday 10am - 3.20pm.
All exit requests for students to leave school during the school day must go through their Head of House.

Best practice for these arrangements are to
Email your child/ren HoH at the earliest time possible
Doctor, Dentist, and other Medical appointments are usually made well in advance of the day so please forward confirmation of appointment with your e-mail request.
Emergency exit requests a parent/guardian will need to come into school and sign the child/ren out. Please note any requests for exit from parents on the day after 2.30pm will be delayed as office staff have attendance duties to complete.
Please do not text or call your child/ren when they are in class to exit the school.
Leaving these arrangements to the last minute could lead to disappointment, as we will not be able to process your request as efficiently as you require. Requesting your child/ren to be released because of family travel plans will be declined.
Year 12 Outdoor Education
Last week the Year 12 Outdoor Education ākonga made a break for the beautiful outdoors heading to Waharau Outdoor Education Centre. The purpose of this camp was to develop whanaungatanga between their peers, grow their leadership potential, learn the many different activities and embrace what our motu has to offer. Can't wait to see these ākonga in action leading our Year 10's very soon.
"At camp I really loved when we went out and did capture the flag, the best bit was how it was in the bush so we got to run around through the undergrowth" - Matthew Thompson
"My highlight from camp was when our group took a million years on the low ropes and even when the teacher said we could go back to camp and we were frustrated with each other we still did it and completed the task. I also liked how everyone joined in with the game capture the flag - it made it so fun!" - Zanthie Thomas
"The best part about camp would have to be the orienteering and getting to go look for the markers. I tried beating my score from Year 10. I also liked getting to know more about my partner while out looking." - George Moore
