Did you know that you could become certified as a Pharmacy Technician before leaving high school?
Students learn the skills necessary to work as a Licensed/Certified Pharmacy Technician, which includes a working understanding of name brand/generic drugs and their uses, entering prescriptions, and updating patient profiles. Skills acquired will include pharmacy calculations for medication dispensing, parameters of patient confidentiality, and providing customer service.

What does a Pharmacy Technician do?
Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist. May measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders.
