2024 Yearbook

The 2024 yearbook staff would like to remind you of a few very important deadlines:

Formal Senior Portraits - In order to be pictured in the 2024 yearbook, seniors must book a portrait session with Studio 94. This can be done on their website or by calling (951) 696-2002. ID CARD PHOTOS WILL NOT BE USED. If you cannot pay for a session, please watch for a future email about an on-campus session. (This on-campus session will be extremely limited, so we ask you to please only use this date if necessary so that all seniors who need it can fit into the available times.) The deadline for getting your senior portrait taken is December 15.

  • If you have already taken your senior portrait or you have an appointment booked, please email rbvyearbook@vistausd.org with the student name and ID#.

Senior Tribute Ads
- One exciting way to show your senior how proud you are is to purchase a senior tribute in the back of the yearbook. Your tribute can be as small as 1/8 of a page or as large as a whole page. You provide the photos and the text, and we design a beautiful tribute in keeping with this year's theme. Purchase before September 30 and get 5% off! Just visit yearbookforever.com and click "Create a Personal Ad," complete the information, submit your materials, and enter coupon code SENIOR24 at checkout. Space is limited, and once we're out of room, we're out, so don't wait! The deadline for purchasing your senior tribute is December 19.

If you have any questions, about senior portraits, please contact Studio 94 directly. For questions about a senior tribute, please email us at rbvyearbook@vistausd.org.

AP and IB Registration

RBV’s AP and IB registration began on September 6th and will end on October 30th. Please see the attached presentation for more information. You will also find the Spanish version here.

Lost and Found

Lost and found will be located in our College and Career Center. At the end of the month, all items left in the lost and found will be donated to a local charity. If your child loses something, please come to retrieve it as soon as possible.

Creative Writing Club

Looking for a way to express yourself through literature? Join the Creative Writing Club! Poems, stories, scripts, and more. Feel free to express yourself through any form of writing in a place where you feel safe sharing your writing. Join us on Tuesdays during lunch in room 219.

Dress Code

Please see the dress code expectations below. Clothing worn to school must adhere to the dress code requirements. Dress code violations will result in a warning for the first offense, and administrative action if the dress code is not followed moving forward. We appreciate your support in this matter.

Counseling

2023-24 Schedule Change Procedure

  • The deadline to request to drop Honors/AP/IB level courses is Friday, September 15, 2023.

Students should first see their teacher to discuss the desired schedule change and get a Schedule Change Request Form. Students must then turn in the completed/signed form to their counselor either before or after school, or during lunchtime. Schedule changes are based on space available and not all schedule changes are guaranteed because of scheduling conflicts. Schedule changes are not official until you have spoken to your counselor and received a new schedule.

Student Drop Off & Pick Up Reminders

Please utilize the outside lanes of the parking lot (pictured below) for drop off and pick up. Students should exit vehicles to the outside (yellow lined areas). Once your student has been dropped off/picked up, you may use the center lane to exit the parking lot. While waiting in the outside lanes, please move forward as traffic flows to allow more vehicles to enter the lot.

Students are not allowed to exit through the front of the school. All students will exit on Melrose or through the student lot on Longhorn Drive. Please plan to pick students up in those locations.
