Message from the Principal
Dear Woodside HS Community:
Monday kicks off STUDY WEEK, a week designed for students and staff to focus on finalizing their final units of study and prepare for a successful Finals Week. On Friday, December 16th, our School Counselors and Student Leadership will be providing Hot Chocolate to all students as a treat for Study Week -- It's also Pajama Day on Friday, so come to school in your cozy PJs, and fill up your cup with some hot cocoa at lunch (free) in front of the MUR!
Since the start of November, Woodside High School has raised $2,230 for this year’s Food Drive with Second Harvest Food Bank. Woodside is so close to reaching its goal of $3,500. It has been decided to extend the online donation page. The need for food for families has no timeline. People can securely donate online with the link below. There are QR code posters in each wing on campus where people can donate. Please help Woodside High School reach and possibly go over our goal!

This is a critical time for our students to take advantage of ALL the many ways to stay on top of their academics and their learning. Are you:
- Using Tutorials fully and effectively?
- Using the DEN after school to receive tutoring from teachers (MUR with snacks!)
- Using Quiet Study in the Library to get work finished?
- Using the on-line FREE Paper tutoring service?
- Using CANVAS effectively, planning and managing your time?
- Using the College and Career Counseling Center for questions about college applications, scholarships and all things college-related?
- Using the Mental Health resources available for all students in F14?
- Using the bilingual resources available to you from Mr. Stewart or Mrs. Lopez?
If you answered NO to any of the above, it's time for you to take some proactive actions to make positive changes to help yourself. If you don't know where to start, stop by your school counselor or administrator or ask any one of your teachers to get help.
With Gratitude,
Karen van Putten, Principal

Go WHS Athletics! Good luck to all our WHS Wildcats!
Good news just in–matching funds have become available!
The WHS Robotics Program emphasizes active outreach to students of all backgrounds and encourages engagement and teamwork in pursuit of a STEM education. Any interested student can join and learn to build a robot, as well as the skills necessary to run a small business.
WHS Robotics is a remarkable program, but also an expensive one. This year, we need to raise $47,000. We depend on financial support from businesses, team families and friends, and the local community to fuel our passion for robotics. Right now, you can double the power of your donation so it goes twice as far to support the team.
Donations of any size are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. We hope we can count on you to help nurture the innovators of tomorrow.
Please use this link to contribute.
Thank you for your support.
