The Media Connection - Library Media News from Ms. Arax
1) April is School Library Month! Help our students to build literacy and connect to the Library Media Center in the following ways: Support reading books from the Media Center in your classroom, create a silent reading retreat time, remind your students the day before class that books are due the next day, check out books for your teaching and lessons - I can help you with that (we have over 10,000 books in our catalog), use the online resources on the home page of your Density account to support learning (see below), student book check out is from 7:30 - 8 am every morning for grades 4-5 or younger grades with a pass from me, staff book check out is every morning between 7:15-8 am (e-mail me if that time does not work for you so we can work together).
2) Automated Overdue E-mail Notices - The Office of Library Media has set up automated overdue notices so all patrons can know when their books are overdue. The notices look like they come from me but I actually never see them. If teachers or staff get overdue notices you can always e-mail me to ask me to renew your books remotely.
3) Check out our displays in the Media Center for School Library Month, Building Reading Skills and Literacy, Environmental Issues, and Earth Day!
