Please remember: if you or anyone in your household is being tested for COVID or is experiencing multiple symptoms of COVID, please keep your student(s) home. This variant is highly contagious, and we would like to limit exposures at school that can be prevented. I thank the families that are diligently following this rule. We are all in this together, and we need to look out for and protect those around us in order to get through this surge. If you have ANY questions about what you should do with your child(ren) in regards to a possible exposure or positive case, please reach out to me or the school nurse.
Thank you for your cooperation,
Courtney Weinheimer

Aubrey Rose Scholarship Application Deadline is Jan. 28
The Aubrey Rose Foundation will be awarding up to thirty-five (35) $500 scholarships to 8th graders in the graduating class of 2022 who will continue their education at a private high school in the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky & SE Indiana areas in the fall of 2022.
Your students can complete the scholarship application and essay by going online to submit it.
Scholarship Application Deadline is January 28, 2022.
Inclement Weather Plans
Inclement weather plans will be announced on the radio/television/social media as follows:
1. We will follow Northwest Schools. If Northwest Local Schools are closed, we will be closed.
2. Two hour delay. This means school will start two hours later than usual. Transportation will begin two hours later as well. If your transportation is provided by Fairfield or Mt. Healthy, you will need to verify that they are on a two hour delay as well. Otherwise, their transportation schedule will not match that of Northwest Local and your student(s) may not be provided a morning bus.
3. Early Dismissal. This announcement would mean the district would be transporting private and public students home early. Parents need to have a contingency plan in order to deal with this circumstance. In addition, parents will need to remain in contact with local media if adverse weather conditions occur during the school day to determine if Northwest Schools is going to transport students home early. The announcement that will go to the media will be “Northwest Schools will Dismiss Early”. The length of the early dismissal will also be announced, such as "1-hour" or 2 hours".

Mens' Open Gym Basketball
For those guys looking to kick the rust off the gym sneakers, we have men's open gym basketball on Sunday evenings at 9 pm. This is open to any guys looking for a little exercise. We play every Sunday throughout the winter into mid-February (with perhaps the exception around the Holidays and Super Bowl Sunday). We shoot for teams and usually play 5-6 games that last roughly 10 minutes each. If interested, bring both a white shirt and a dark shirt (black/blue).
