Derrick Blackmore And Chad Korte Started Dec. 1
Derrick Blackmore
Derrick is a 10-year US Air Force and Desert Storm veteran. He has been involved in EMS since 1999, becoming a paramedic in 2002. Also an EMS Instructor, Derrick has taught EMTs and Paramedics at Iowa Western Community College. Derrick has served with Ralston Fire since 2010 and lives in LaVista, NE. He is engaged to a nursing instructor at Methodist College of Nursing and has 3 sons ages 24, 20 and 16. He's an avid boater and loves vacationing in the Ozarks.
Chad Korte
Chad is married with 6 children and lives in Sarpy County, NE. He has been an EMT since 1998, spending the last 11-12 years as a paramedic. He fought wildfires for the federal government for 2 years and has extensive experience with volunteer departments in Clay, Adams and Webster counties. Chad oversaw the rescue operations for Hastings 911 for 6 years.
"I missed working for 911 and this is definitely an opportunity do do something new and exciting," Chad said. "I'm really looking forward to getting to know the other responders in the area."
