FAFSA APPLICATIONS OPEN ON OCTOBER 1ST
Senior Families,
Now is the time to prepare for submitting your FAFSA. Even if you don't think you will take loans, this is your ticket to automatically qualify for certain scholarships. Scholarships are given on a first come, first served basis, so the earlier you submit your FAFSA, the better chance of getting scholarships.
Supporting Literacy
On Friday, 9/30/22, the cadet teachers walked to the Mid Continent Public Library to learn about how every teacher can support student literacy. Cadets had great discussion about the ways picture books can be used every grade level and content area.
District-Wide Fundraiser
Dear Families,
We are so excited to announce that our PTO/Parent Group fundraiser this year will be a district wide event where 100% of every dollar raised will come right back to our school to provide classroom and school resources, manipulatives, books and more that will enhance the education of our children.
Visit www.ALLschoolsONEgoal.com now through October 11th, donate and check nightly totals for each school in our district wide PTO/Parent Group fundraiser. Every school has a $20,000 goal. All donations are 100% tax deductible. If you know a business that would like to make a donation click here to view the business donor form where business donations will be divided by all five schools in our district.

Would you like to host a Foreign Exchange Student?
One of our SHS Foreign Exchange students needs to move homes in mid-October (he is currently living with a "welcome family"). He will be staying in the U.S. until the end of May. His name is Henry, he is almost 18 years old, and he's from Hong Kong. If you are interested in hosting Henry, please contact Brenda Mellon at 816-204-6815 or bmellon@icesusa.org.
