Staff Appreciation Week February 13-17
Staff Appreciation Week is coming up soon (February 13th-17th), and the PTO needs your help!
The theme this year is Wilson Creek Teachers and Staff are a Homerun. There are several ways to show how much you care. First, you can volunteer - check out the SignUpGenius, there are slots for the week before to help setup and throughout the week. You can donate an Amazon Gift Card, please use this link so we can track how many have been purchased. Lastly, you can send in thank you notes throughout the week. And if you have any baseball related party supplies, please bring them to school no later than Thursday, February 16th, so we can decorate for the staff lunch on Friday.
Lost and Found-Items to be donated February 17
As the weather has gone from hot to cold and back again, a number of coats, jackets and hoodies are lost, found, and unclaimed. Please place names in your child’s clothing so that we may promptly return lost articles to him/her. A Lost and Found rack is in the atrium by the cafeteria.
Our custodial staff picks up items left on the playground and around school. We hang them up on our lost and found racks and students can come by to look at the items to see if they can find anything they have misplaced. Any items that remain after 2/17/2023 will be donated.
Lost & Found Rack: Coats, Sweaters, Hats, Water Bottles, Books
Lost & Found in the Office: Glasses, jewelry, wallets, purses, small personal items

Valentine's Treats
As we approach Valentine’s Day, it is important to ensure that all homemade candy, desserts, baked goods, or other edible items are not sent into school. Students are permitted to bring Valentine's with store bought candies that are individually wrapped (no nuts please). Please know that taking this measure will help us maintain a safe environment for all students with allergies, etc. You can help us protect your student(s) by requesting that they not eat anything given to them by another person, anything that they have not brought from your home or anything not in its original sealed package.
Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping all of our students safe at school!
Will to Live 5K

Camp Invention® is coming to Wilson Creek Elementary School!
In partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame® (NIHF), Wilson Creek Elementary School is excited to offer the nationally acclaimed Camp Invention® program to children entering K through 6th grade. This inspiring, weeklong summer experience provides opportunities for open-ended, hands-on exploration of science, technology, engineering and more! Taking on a variety of exhilarating activities each day, children have fun collaborating with friends, thinking creatively and inventing their own solutions to real-world challenges.
The week begins on June 12, 2023 with Ashley Pence serving as Director. The all-new 2023 program, Wonder, will spark the imagination of both new and returning campers with an adventure full of inspiration, innovation and unforgettable discoveries!
During this action-packed, confidence-boosting program, young innovators will:
- Design and build their own mini skate park, customize their mini skateboard, and practice persistence as they take on ramps, bowls, rails and more
- Transform a robot into a one-of-a-kind stuffie while exploring genetics, finding inspiration in nature and taking pride in their individuality
- Take on the role of event planner as they design a grand celebration, invent a Party Assistant, and create a light-up party hat and bubble art banner
- Launch their own pop-up business while building entrepreneurship skills, making smart financial choices, using green energy and attracting customers
The first 40 students to register will receive a Camp Invention Keepsake Toy (Pop-It Keychain, Pencil Pouch, etc.)
Early registration discounts available! Register using SUM25 by March 30 to save $25, or SUM15 by May 12 to save $15 off the $275 registration fee.
