Important Announcements!
May 2022 STAAR Grades 3–8 Paper Administration
Due to supply-chain and shipping challenges that have affected the delivery of paper test materials for the May 2022 STAAR grades 3–8 administration, TEA is extending the testing window for paper administrations by two days.
- Districts can schedule the administration of STAAR grades 3–8 paper tests (including make-up tests) through Tuesday, May 17, 2022, if necessary.
- The deadline for returning scorable materials to Pearson has been revised to Thursday, May 19.
Please note that reporting dates are not impacted by this extension. Test results are still scheduled to be available on May 23.
May STAAR/EOC Checklists
There are many tasks that must be done to close out the May EOC window by May 13, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. and the May 3-8 window by May 20, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.
Attached, you will find a May EOC and May 3-8 checklist that your Regional Testing Coordinators created to help make sure the tasks are completed before the end of the testing windows.
April STAAR EOC Administration - Revised Deadline for Score Codes
Data Corrections - TELPAS Alternate
Districts can resolve student information and submit score code changes for the spring 2022 TELPAS Alternate administration from May 3–6, 2022. Changes submitted during this window will be reflected in updated reports that will be provided on May 23, 2022. Any updates made after this window will be included in scheduled updates and will not be reflected in reports used for accountability.
- Resolve student information – the spelling of a student’s name, the student’s date of birth, and student’s gender can be updated through the View/Edit/Export Student, Upload Student Information, or Upload Additional Student Fields module in TIDE by the district or campus coordinator.
- If a student is not reported in the correct district or campus, the district coordinator should contact Texas Testing Support to update the information.
- Score code changes – to submit a score code change, districts should select the “Change Score Code” option under Request Type in the Appeals/Score Codes module in TIDE.
For questions or assistance regarding the information in this communication, contact Texas Testing Support at 833-601-8821, TexasTestingSupport@cambiumassessment.com, or via live chat at TexasAssessment.gov.

How do I...?
Access a List of Eligible Students by Test Administration
- Districts are able to access a list of eligible students by test administration 90 days prior to the start of testing. In TIDE, go to Monitoring Test Progress > Plan and Manage Testing. Select the test administration from the Test menu. Select the specific test(s) from the Test Name menu. In the Get Specific panel, select the first option for “students who have not started any opportunity in the selected administration.” The results will include all students who are eligible to take the selected test(s) but have not started yet.
View and Track Form Submissions in TIDE
- Districts have the ability to view and track their form submissions in TIDE, including accommodation requests, special administration requests, testing irregularities, and security oaths. Go to Administration and Security Forms > View Forms to check the status of form submissions.
View Old & New Score Codes
- Districts are now able to view the old score code and new score code for any score code change or score code set request previously submitted through TIDE. Go to Appeals/Score Codes > View Requests. Under Request Type, select the Set Score Code or Change Score Code option, and under Request Status, select the Processed option. In the results table, scroll to the right to view the Old Score Code and New Score Code columns.
Set or Change Score Codes in Bulk in TIDE
Users are able to update a set of TSDS IDs or Result IDs in the Appeals Template File to initiate the process of setting or changing score codes in bulk under the Appeals/Score Codes module in TIDE. This feature will allow users to set up or change score codes for multiple students at one time. For instructions on how to set or change score codes in bulk in TIDE, watch this video or refer to the TIDE User Guide.
