What Basketball shoots the best
Purpose Statement
The purpose of this experiment was to determine if different brands of basketballs make a difference on how you shoot. I became interested in this experiment because I like basketball. The information gained from this experiment will help others by showing them what brand of basketball they should get and use.
Research
The Baden ball has an exterior that holds sweat so that the ball doesn’t get slippery and hard to shoot pass or dribble unlike the Wilson Evolution. The Wilson Evolution has a good grip on it but it gets very slipery after you start playing with it. The Spalding ball has good grip but doesn’t have a very good texture to it and it gets very slippery very fast.
The Spalding ball is the lowest quality one and it is still very good and doesn’t get lumps in it. The Baden ball is very good and keeps a steady bounce and it doesn’t get lumps in it. The Evoloution doesn’t have a steady bounce it varies about the height the ball bounces. The Spalding ball varies in bounces also because the Baden ball has a patented cushoning layer in the ball that keeps the bounce consistent.
