A full week of classes...for real!
In The Know
Shake up your class projects with Canva! Canva (www.canva.com) is a simple, free graphic design online program students can use to design professional-grade posters, fliers, brochures, resumés, mind maps, book covers, business cards, recipe cards, reports and other projects. Canva is an intuitive and easy-to-use tool that offers hundreds of free, attractive project templates and thousands of images. Students can also work collaboratively on their Canva projects together (a great way to incorporate the WICOR indicator on using technology as a tool for collaboration). Debbie is happy to partner with you and teach your students how to best use Canva. Please contact her to schedule a time for her to visit your classes and/or to train you individually.
PRIDE Survey - PBIS is doing another PRIDE week, and we need your help. Please click on the link below and nominate students from the grade you teach for the PRIDE categories. You do not have to fill out the entire survey just fill in the students and categories you feel most comfortable with. We will be rewarding winners with certificates and gift cards. Please take a moment to complete this survey.

Kudos
Gene Chism - I appreciate the your efforts on the Beyond Black and White project. The spirit of this project has Churchill adults modeling our vulnerability so that kids will do the same. This helps our school become safer, healthier and an all around better place for our students.
Gene...you rule the school!
Debbie Levy - I really appreciated your presentation regarding Canva. Thank you for doing this with little warning. You are awesome. I thought this was a really cool tool that could be used in classrooms easily for loads of different projects. So quick and easy to use in a pinch or as a quick access tool with groups.
Kim Rolleig - I am thankful for the investment of time and for your leadership on the Health Team Drill. I feel proud to know that we are focusing on how to have better situational awareness and that that we are doing this in collaboration with our Heath Pathway. This is a clear example of what it means to support the Whole Child. We have a clear focus on safety and student health.
Kelly Prince - You're one of the most responsive staff members I have worked with. This was exemplified the other day when I saw you running down the hall with a bag under each arm and your 3 little girls chasing behind you. You seem to always be hustling and it does not go unnoticed. Churchill is blessed to have you on our staff.
