Parent Newsletter
July 5, 2020
Introduction
I hope that you and your families are doing well. I am excited to begin to meet everyone this week. If you did not get a chance to sign up to meet me, there is a new sign up genius in the section below.
This week, I do not have a summer reading smore for those of you who have done that each week. My family and I were on vacation for the holiday last week and the internet connection was not good enough to do video recordings. The summer reading newsletter will resume next week.
If you did not get a chance to view the KSD eSpotlight, please take a few minutes to view that below. There is information regarding the re-entry planning and alignment to the KSD Guiding Principles.
I will plan on sending the next parent newsletter in two weeks (every other week during the summer), unless we get any important updates, and then I will share those out as they come in.
I am so excited to be at Robinson and I look forward to supporting students, staff, and families. Please reach out if you have any questions/concerns as we prepare for the school year.

Meet and Greet
I will be providing 15 minute time slot opportunities to meet with families either at the Pavilion at Robinson or via Zoom. I apologize for limiting the meeting to 15 minutes, and I am hoping this will allow me to meet with a greater amount of families. I will provide a sign up genius link each week in the newsletter. You will need to click on the link to select one time slot. After selecting your time slot- you will put in your email and which format you prefer (pavilion or zoom). If you choose zoom, I will then email you a link to join. If you choose pavilion, we will need to follow social distancing guidelines and you must have a mask with you.
For the format of the meeting, I am flexible. It can be an open format and you and your child(ren) may share whatever you'd like or ask whatever questions you'd like. However, if you would like me to share a structure, I like the hopes and dreams format. This format has you share the child's strengths, and what you hope/dream for your child for this school year. With only 15 minutes, it is hard to get a lot of depth, but we can always follow up via email or phone if needed.
Use this Sign Up Genius Link to pick a slot for July 13-16. There will be additional sign ups each week through the end of July.
Driveway Work
- removal of existing poorly graded asphalt pavement
- regrading of base layer of material in lieu of a newly paved, properly graded asphalt surface
- this is being done to alleviate severe puddling that takes place during heavy rain and snow falls that leads to unsafe driving and playing surfaces- Ice in the winter and puddles Spring-Fall
- A concrete flowline with fencing and a center crosswalk to the field is being added on the south side of the pavement to catch the runoff from the pavement

Calling all Kindergarten Parents
Our Kindergarten registration has really slowed down, perhaps due to the closures. But in any case, we really need accurate numbers for our planning. If you have not already done so, PLEASE register your little one for Kindergarten. If you know of someone who has not yet registered, please share the info with them and as always, I am happy to talk this through with anyone. This link will give you an overview of the enrollment process and what documents you will need to have handy and will direct you to the online enrollment. Please enroll today!
Please update your children's information as part of our annual update
