MATH
- The IC’s are going to have an Exemplars training in April. The math department has asked us to get student work samples for each grade level. They want each team to administer the following summative tasks from the Exemplars library. Please see below and let me know if you have any questions. I will need this by April 10th. Thank you so much!
· K.2A Ginger Bread Man
· 1.6A Drawing Shapes
· 2.7A,C Cars and Trucks
· 3.6C,D;3.7 A Fence for Star
· 4.6A,B,C,D A Shape Game
· 5.4 H Cereal Box Display
Summative tasks can be read to the students, and any non-mathematical terms may be defined. Tasks can be reread during the student's work time, and scribing may be provided for any non-writing or primary students. A summative assessment must represent a student's total independent solution.

2017 FISD Summer Reading Flyer-for 5th graders
Please share the 2017 FISD Summer Reading Flyer with your 5th grade parents. The secondary ELAR coordinators are not going to send paper copies to each campus this year, so 5th grade teachers need to forward the flyer to the 5th grade parents. Please let me know if you have any questions.
