IBDP Update
Hello from the IBDP corner of Dunecrest!
Candidates are completing internal assessments and coursework for the next four weeks. Let's meet those deadlines to allow time for teachers to mark assessments and provide quality comments with the hope to align our performance with the stated expectations we have given in report cards and anticipated grades.
Mock exams will begin March 14th and finish March 25th. The email with the exact schedule will be mailed on Wednesday Feb th. This will be a practice run to help us complete predicted grades for the IB and to allow our candidates a rehearsal for the May exams. I trust it will be a great learning opportunity and provide us with feedback on what needs to be reviewed before May exams.
After the mocks and Spring Break, students will return to school for two weeks of guided revision with teachers in the classroom. This will be the final chance to review topics, content, skills, etc. with direct instruction.
Students will then have three (3) days of independent revision to prepare for their individual exams. Teachers will be available to meet to discuss last minute problems, but the emphasis will be on the candidate's own ability to organize two years worth of content and prepare for a comprehensive exam. This practice prepares them for success in university.
Finally, the IB exams are scheduled for April 28th to May 20th. This schedule can be found with a simple Google search and will also be emailed to our families after mocks. All the best of luck to our IBDP cohort of 2022!
