Week 36 of Kindergarten
RECAP AND WHAT'S TO COME
10 Day Balloon Countdown
Dear Kindergarten Parents,
The 10 days of school countdown begins tomorrow! Can you believe it?! To end this amazing year, I will be starting a 10 days of school balloon countdown. At the end of each day, I will pop a balloon. Inside the balloon will be a note with a special activity the students will get to participate in the following day. There are a few days where students are allowed to bring something in. I wanted to give you a heads up for those upcoming days.
SHH…. It’s a surprise!! Please do not tell the students what the special days are. When the balloon is popped at the end of each day, I want ALL students to be surprised J I’m sure they will come running home to tell you the special activity for the next day.
Here are the days that involve your child bringing something in:
Tuesday, May 23rd- Beach day in the classroom! Our classroom will completely transform into a beach. Students can bring a towel, sunglasses, and a hat to school that day. J (FYI -This balloon will be popped on Monday so students will come home Monday night knowing Tuesday is beach day.) (full school uniform)
Thursday, May 25th – Camping in the classroom! We are going to build tents, pretend campfires, and eat s’mores (pop-tarts) during the day. Students can bring a flashlight and a stuffed animal. They will use their flashlight to read and do work while under the tents J I will have extra flashlights or will let kids share if you do not bring one in
Wednesday May 31th – Show ‘n Tell. Students can bring in something to share with the class.
***If anyone has a small kiddie inflatable pool or a small camping tent, I would love to borrow it! I would use it in the classroom for students to sit in during the day J Please send me a separate email if I can borrow it, so I know whose is bringing it in ahead of time. I don’t need 24 tents J HAHA
Thanks for all the help!! This is such a fun time of the year and I can’t wait to make it special for them.
