What is newsletter privacy?
Newsletter Privacy gives you control of who views your newsletter.
You can choose between:
Private - Your newsletter will not be publicly listed nor featured on Smore nor on search engines
Public - Your newsletter is public and will also appear in search engines
Private newsletters
"Private" gives you control of who can view your newsletter.
This means:
- Your newsletter won't be indexed in search engines
- Your newsletter can't be Featured on Smore
- Your newsletter won't show up in your Smore Profile
In order for someone to access your newsletter, you must share the newsletter's URL address with them directly.
Keep in mind that if you mark your newsletter as private, but share the URL, it means that anyone with the URL can access it and it will affect your view count.
Public Newsletters
This means:
- Your newsletter is indexed in search engines
- Your newsletter can be Featured
- Your newsletter will show up in your Smore Profile
Anyone can access your newsletter whether you decide to share the newsletter's URL address directly with them or not.
