#Unfoldingyourfuture
Dear Aldridge Family,
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! It is difficult to believe that summer is quickly drawing to a close, but we definitely look forward to the commencement of a new year with a building full of children who are excited to learn! If you are new to Aldridge this year, we want to extend a warm welcome to you and your family. We are glad to have you as part of our Ocelot family!
We eagerly anticipate a year where all students will experience growth and success in a safe, nurturing, and positive environment. At Aldridge Elementary School, each day will be dedicated to the pursuit of academic and personal excellence. Thank you in advance for partnering with us on this educational journey – with your support, our children will continue to reach new heights in learning!

Helpful Information and Reminders*
- The PISD Parent Portal https://parentviewer.pisd.edu is the primary resource for all online services provided to parents. In addition to providing direct access to grades and attendance, the Parent Portal also gives you access to your child's classroom information, district-wide information, and links to other often used services. Every year, it is necessary for all parents to electronically review/update several important documents. In order to receive your student’s teacher assignment when the information becomes available in Parent Portal on Thursday, August 17th, please complete all required forms in Parent Portal no later than Tuesday, August 15th. In the event of a change in address, please note that new proof of residency must be provided to the campus.
- Aldridge PTA Website: www.aldridgepta.org - The Aldridge PTA website provides up-to-date information and forms for membership, spirit wear orders, yearbook orders, PTA board member contact information, etc.
- Meal Viewer www.pisd.edu - You can now access all school cafeteria menus in the palm of your hand! We have launched our menus in MealViewer, an app and website that allows everyone to access all breakfast and lunch menus for every school in Plano. It even shows what major allergens are in each item, as well as nutritional info! The MealViewer app can be downloaded for free through both the App Store and Google Play for mobile phones, and can be accessed online at schools.mealviewer.com. You can also go to www.pisd.edu ->For Parents ->Food & Nutritional Services (FANS) ->Menus and Nutritional Information. From there you can click on the MealViewer logo and access online instructions.
- PayPAMS https://PayPAMS.com - The district offers an online payment system for school lunches, Adventure Camp and after school care. PayPAMS is the preferred method of payments by parents. Parents can set up automatic payment plans, view account balances and history, receive automatic notification on balance status & more!
- Volunteer Application https://oea.pisd.edu/volunteer or www.pisd.edu/volunteer - Remember that the PISD volunteer application/background check must be completed each school year in order to volunteer at Aldridge. If you have not already completed this application for the 2017-18 school year, please click on the link above. The application process can take up to two weeks, so don't wait until the day before an important event in your child's class. We need you and would not want for you to miss any volunteering opportunity!
- Proof of Residency in Plano ISD (natural gas or electricity bill, original lease agreement, or approved Certificate of Eligibility to Enroll form)
- If a family has not yet moved into the school district but you are building or purchasing a home within the district boundaries, a Certificate of Eligibility Form must be completed and the contract for purchase must be submitted to the office of Student Services prior to enrolling.
Also, If you have moved or your lease has expired, please provide an updated copy to the front office before school begins. If we do not receive an updated copy of your lease, You will need to sign withdrawal papers, and your child will need to check in all textbooks and pay any outstanding fines or fees prior to the withdrawal date.
