ADE Selects 72 Applications to Receive $2.5 Million for New CTE Programs

In fall 2021, Greenbrier applied for a Start-Up Grant through the Division of Career and Technical Education to begin an Engineering Program of Study through our Career and Technical Education program.

Greenbrier was recently approved to offer this program for our students beginning next school year! Grant funds will provide the resources and materials for the program. One of the first steps will be to offer an Introduction to Engineering course to our high school students next school year with additional courses in the following years. This sequence of courses will lead to students achieving "completer status" in Engineering.

A long-term goal is to connect the program with the district's solar energy project while preparing students for one of the quickest growing career fields in our state and nation.

We are excited to share this great news with our school community!
