5 Essentials Parent Survey- CLICK HERE

Schools can see results when 20% of families complete the survey. Currently, we are at 12% of Millburn Families who have completed the survey. Please take a few moments to provide feedback to help us grow as a school.

Staff Luncheon

A special thank you to EPIC and all the parents who provided lunch for our staff this past Tuesday. The soups were amazing! Thank you for your appreciation. We are very luckily to have such caring families supporting us throughout the school year!

State Assessments

Millburn Elementary is preparing for our upcoming state assessments.

Illinois Science Assessment (ISA)

Our 5th graders will be administered the Illinois Science Assessment on March 17th, 18th, and 19th. Each session will take approximately 45min. Last year, 79% of our students were proficient with their science skills, which is awesome! Yet, we continue to strive to improve each year.

Here is a link for more information on the ISA: ISA Information

Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR)

The IAR is a computer-based standardized assessment for all students in Grades 3 - 8 that is meant to measure students’ progress toward the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics, as well as the Standards for Mathematical Practices. Millburn Elementary will test April 2nd-9th. This will provide the school district with information on student learning and facilitate continuous improvement of our educational programs.

English Language Arts

Grade 3 : 2 tests (75 minutes each)

Grades 4 - 8: 2 tests (90 minutes each)

Grades 3 - 8: 3 tests (60 minutes each)

Grades 3-5 Math

Equation Editor Tutorials

The equation editor is a tool students will need to know how to use for the math portion of the IAR. It allows students to build equations to show solutions to test questions.

Millburn Cares- St. Baldrick's

Be a hero for kids with cancer!

Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement!

The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers!

Millburn Elementary, with the help of Student Council, will be hosting a St. Baldrick's event. The event will be held on Friday, March 20th from 4pm-6pm. If you are interested in participating, or donating to this great cause, visit our website at

You can also contact Lisa Palmisano at for more information.

We encourage all families to reach out to us (teachers, administrators, office staff) if you have any questions or concerns you would like for us to address. We aim to make our school the best learning experience for your child and your input is valuable in making that happen. Do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to help!
