Principal's Message

LMS Tiger families -

We ended our week with our NFL Spirit Day today and students were sporting their favorite team jerseys, gear, and colors across LMS and LIS. Thanks to all our students who participated and we hope to have lots of fun spirit days this year at school!

Time flies when you are having fun and it's already mid-term time here at LMS. Mid-terms mark the halfway point of the quarter, and for any student who has a D or lower in any of their classes, notices will be sent home to parents through the mail. if you ever have questions about your student's academic progress or needs, our teachers would love to hear from you.

This week is National Suicide Prevention Week and we want to remind all of our students and families of the resources that we have available here at school to support students in need, including our student services team of Ms. Shafer (School Counselor) and Mrs. Tobergte (School Psychologist), counseling services through Best Point Solutions and our student Hope Squad. Help is also available through the National Suicide and Crisis Hotline by dialing 988. Please reach out if you ever have any questions or concerns about your child in this regard.

Have a great weekend, everyone. WHO DEY!?!

Take care and Go Tigers!

David Knapp

LMS Principal

Post-Pandemic Parenting Resource

Our partners at BestPoint Behavioral Health recognize the continuing challenges facing students, families, and schools today regarding mental health needs associated with the pandemic. To support families at home, they have put together an online class that teaches practical, easy-to-use techniques that help children rebound from stress and anxiety called, "Post-Pandemic Parenting". This compact set of short modules provides parents and guardians strategies to help children manage stress, anxiety, and depression.

If you are interested in learning more, see the attached flyer for additional information.
