Happy School Social Work Week!
Post Your Photos March 5-11, 2017 Using Hashtag #MASSW17
Help us celebrate SSW Week and educate others about School Social Work!
This year, MASSW is hosting another social media campaign and we need your participation.
SSWAA decribes School Social Workers as "trained mental health professionals who can assist with mental health concerns, behavioral concerns, positive behavioral support, academic and classroom support, consultation with teachers, parents and administrators as well as provide individual and group counseling/therapy."
What is YOUR definition of a school social worker?
We would like you to share it with others using "selfies", videos, or posters and the hashtag #massw17.
Three easy steps!
- Download the School Social Workers Definition Sign (click here) and complete it by typing into it or handwriting with a thick marker.
- Take a photo or video of yourself holding the poster
- Share it in any or all of these ways:
- Send it to us at socialmedia@masswmi.org (any time from now until March 11th)
- Send it out on Twitter using the #massw17 hashtag (between March 5th-11th)
- Post it on Facebook using the #massw17 hashtag (between March 5th-11th)
Then check the front page of the MASSW Website to see your posting.
Can others join in? Absolutely!!!
Do they have to use our sign? No, but please make sure the hashtag #massw17 is included.
When do you want us to post our photos? You can send them to us now and we'll release them slowly throughout the week. If you plan on posting to social media directly, please do so anytime between March 5-11 and add #massw17 to your post!
Questions? Other ideas?
Thanks for helping us spread the good news!
