Distance Learning Update
Pence Volunteers of the Year: Peyton Miller & Erika Gregory
Peyton Miller has served as our PTO president and Erika Gregory has served as the hospitality chair for the last few years. Their work to help support the students and staff of the school has been greatly appreciated. During their time of service, they have helped advance the level of support and engagement that the PTO has provided for Pence. With our sincerest grattitude... Thank you Peyton and Erika for your service to our school!
Baby Trout... doo doo doo doo doo doo!
The 7th grade students have watched their trout grow in their classroom tanks throughout the year. Although the students weren't able to share in the process of releasing them this year, Ms. Cromer was able to carry out the release of their trout at Rivenrock Park.

A Message From Our Counselors
In the school counseling department, we have been working to compile different tools and resources in a central location for our students and families. In the link below you will find our “Knight’s Toolbox” which has resources separated by categories. You will find a page dedicated to each of the following topics: Relaxation and Mindfulness, Study Skills, Career Exploration, and Community Resources. We will be updating our “Knight’s Toolbox” with new resources regularly, so please check it periodically to see what’s new!
Counseling Hotline Number
Many of us may be struggling more with our mood during this time. A wonderful resource became available this week that allows people to call counselors in the Shenandoah Valley anonymously. The information is included below:
Counselors in the Shenandoah Area have created a hotline to help support those of us who are struggling with our mood and emotions. Calls can be made anonymously. The hotline is open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 7 p.m., until 10 p.m., and from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. for Spanish speakers.

Chromebook Help!
Pence Families-
I wanted to share the plan for providing ongoing technology support to students for the next couple of months. Students/families can request remote tech help using this Google Form. It is linked at technology.rockingham.k12.va.us. Tech staff will reach out to families via email or phone and try to troubleshoot remotely. If tech staff deems that a replacement charger or device is needed, then they will direct families to call the school's main office to arrange a device and/or charger pick up.
Sincerely-
Pence Administrative Team
