LEARNERS TODAY, LEADERS TOMORROW.

Welcome to the 2018-19 School Year!
We are excited to be starting a new year here at Gooch. Last year was great, with Gooch earning distinctions in English Language Arts, Reading, and Post-secondary readiness. Under the new TEA ranking system Gooch would earn a ‘B’ grade, which is very good. This year we are looking forward to building on our strengths and making the coming year even better. We are so pleased that you have chosen to be a part of the Gooch family and experience the Gooch difference on your child’s educational journey. Welcome to the New Year everyone!

Making Carpool Work
Carpool makes picking up and dropping off your students as easy as it can be. Please remember to follow the rules. The carpool lane starts on the south side of the school travelling West on Boca Bay Drive. It then turns North onto Rosser Road, and finally travels East on Calculus Drive on the same side of the road as the front entrance to Gooch. Teachers will be waiting to open the door for your child and make sure they get into the school safely. They will direct you where to stop your vehicle to let your child out. Remember that the safety of our children is everyone’s first priority. If for some reason you must walk your child to the front door of the school, make sure that you park on Haydale Drive on the East side of the school. Do not park on the opposite side of Calculus Drive and cross the road with your child. This is not safe. Remember:
DO: Make our children’s safety your first priority
DO: Drive slowly and courteously
DO: Follow the directions of the teachers on where to stop your car to let your child in or out of your vehicle
DO: Display your carpool tag on the dashboard of your vehicle for pick up
DO: Use the carpool lane rather than parking and walking your child to the door. The teachers are there to make the process as fast and safe as possible
DO NOT: Park anywhere on Calculus Drive and walk your child into the school
DO NOT: Park and leave your car in the carpool lane during drop off or pick up
DO NOT: Allow any trash to fall out of your vehicle in the carpool lane
NEVER: Stop your car in the middle of the street and let your child out

Thank You CSL Dallas!

The Gooch Teachers and staff are working hard to make the coming year one of our best yet!
With just a little fun on the way...
