The Constitutional Building Blocks
Government in America
Well....What is Government
In simple terms... THE IN'S AND OUT'S ON HOW SOCIETAL POLICIES ARE MADE.
Pluralist Theory
The PLURALIST THEORY is a way of government that is pretty likable by all. Competition is one of the driving factors of our nation, and with this theory, there is an overwhelming amount of it.
Hyperpluralist Theory
This is NOT EFFECTIVE. You do not want the government to be weakened by surrounding groups. You need it to be an equal balance.
Elite Theory
This theory is ineffective because there is solely on group with all of the power. There is no shared powers, no shared expressed opinions, which does not equate a successful nation.
WHAT TYPE OF THEORY DOES OUR NATION FALL UNDER?
Besides These Theories...How Else is Government Polices Affected?
One of the most successful interest groups in government today is the NRA. Which is an interest group that fights for gun rights and has affected policy in government concerning gun rights many of times.
SINGLE INTEREST GROUPS also affect policies in government. These are a more narrow version of Interest Groups. As Interest Groups can be very broad in their idea of interest, this group has well...you guessed it....one single interest. This is effective because it allows them to gain ALL THE POSSIBLE INFORMATION aimed at this interest in order to put up a very very VERY effective fight.
