Looking for Alaska
By: John Green
Reviewer: Macy Malone
Looking for Alaska has become one of my favorite books of all time. Once i picked up this book, it was nearly impossible to put it down. John Green's writing style is truly amazing and something I hope everyone gets to enjoy. Miles's has a boring and uneventful life, so he decided to take off for Culver Creek Boarding School in search of "The Great Perhaps". There Miles meets the beautiful Alaska Young, who he falls completely in love with. As their relationship grows more and more complicated, tensions rise and lead to an unbelievable twist. I fell in love with this story and i was so sad when it was over. I will never forget this story and I would recommend this book to anyone.
Looking for Alaska Trailer
The Flower
The white flower is symbolic because this is what was Alaska drew and what was found in her car after the wreck. Alaska's drawing helped miles and Chip solve the mystery.
The Wine
Strawberry wine is symbolic because this is what all the characters drink throughout the story. It is also Alaska's favorite drink
The Labyrinth
The labyrinth is symbolic because one of the main themes of the story is "escaping the labyrinth of suffering".
