We are now able to recycle your clean, dry plastic bags. Look for the bin at distribution.
Thank you for your continued support. Your participation helps to bring more funding to the district meal programs.
Sresht Venkataraman
Sresht Venkataram is a third grader in Mrs. Birtel's classroom who has a passion for writing. He surprised his teacher when he independently wrote a twelve chapter realistic fiction novel with 21 pages, called “Matthew Wright: The Dog Contest.” Last week he finished his second book in the series, “Matthew Wright: The Jaylerry Jumbos."
Congratulations to Sresht for pursuing his love of writing. Maybe one day he will be a guest author during our Literacy Week celebrations.
PSSA Testing
In the next week, virtual families will receive a Qualtrics survey from GVSD to ascertain families desire to have their children participate in the assessments. This survey is necessary so that we can plan for spacing, proctors, lunches and transportation. As you can imagine, this is a massive undertaking. Please take a moment to complete this brief survey. Once the survey results have been tallied, our families will receive additional information specific to the actual testing schedule. If your child attends in-person instruction and you have specific requests regarding testing options, please email me at vmorris@gvsd.org or call me directly.
