Chemical Changes:
Chemical change is where a new substance is formed. They are not reversible except by further chemical reactions.
The Difference Between Chemical and Physical Changes
The difference between a physical and chemical change is a chemical change makes a substance that wasn't there before. There may be clues that a chemical reaction took place, such as light, heat, color change, gas production, odor, or sound. The starting and ending materials of a physical change are the same, even though they may look different. A Physical change stays the same substance even though the substance may look different it is still the same material even if it changes states.
Rusted Nail
This is a rusted nail it is a chemical change because, the rust is a new substance due to oxidation.
Pancakes
These pancakes are another example of a chemical change because they are a different substance than batter. Even though it is just applying heat it is a different substance unlike a ice cube.
Baking soda and Vineagar
Baking Soda and Vinegar is a chemical change because a chemical reaction occurs. Also the one thing that we always look for occurred a new substance was created
