Why are Macromolecules important to learn?
Because we need Macromolecules to live. It is life.
Protein
Is made up of Hydrogen, Oxygen, Carbon, Nitrogen, and Sulfur. Proteins are used for digesting, hair, nails, and carries oxygen to blood.
Carbohydrate
Is made up of Hydrogen, Oxygen, and Carbon. Carbohydrates are used as/for short term energy storage, structure(cell walls), and exoskeletons.
Lipids
Carbon, Hydrogen, and Oxygen. Lipids are used as/for insulation, long term energy storage, protects organs, and immunity.
Nucleic acids
Is made up of Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, nitrogen, and phosphorus. Nucleic acids are used to make proteins (DNA, RNA, ATP). Nucleic can be found in every nucleus in every cell.
