From the Principal...Kristy McKnight

We are so excited to welcome students back on Wednesday, August 10th! Teachers have been busy getting classrooms set up so we are ready for our first day of school!

All students are invited to drop off school supplies and to meet classroom teachers on Monday, August 8th from 4:00-6:00 pm. PTO is making this an amazing event that includes food trucks, a scavenger hunt, a collaborative art project and volunteer opportunity information.

I encourage you to follow this schedule:

  • 4:00-5:00 pm - Last names beginning with A - I
  • 4:30-5:30 pm - Last names beginning with J - Q
  • 5:00-6:00 pm - Last names beginning with R - Z

This will assist us in meeting your needs in a timely manner and should cut down on the crowds in classrooms when dropping off supplies. However, please understand you are welcome to come anytime between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm.

Class Assignments

All active HAC accounts will be accessible on Thursday, August 4th. At that time, you will be able to view your child’s classroom assignment and teacher.

In anticipation of finding out your child’s classroom teacher on August 4th, please make sure you are registered on the Home Access Center (HAC). If you previously registered, your login names and passwords have not changed, and you do not need to re-register. If you are new or have not previously registered you must have a current and valid email address on file with the school. If you have not provided a current and valid email address you may do so by calling the school office prior to August 4th.

From the Nurse

Physical Exams and Immunization Records are due before the 1st day of school.

The Illinois School Code requires that all students entering Kindergarten or students in other grades entering an Illinois school for the first time must submit evidence a physical examination and complete record of immunizations prior to starting classes or receiving services. Please send these health documents via the student enrollment and registration process via email or you can scan and email them directly to me at Donna.Holloway@d303.org.

Notification of Transportation Routes

Transportation route information for elementary school students will be available online on the afternoon of August 3rd. When available, parents may log in to the VersaTrans e-Link via the included site - http://district.d303.org/bus-route-info-e-link using their Home Access Center (HAC) login credentials. When logging in, please do not check the Authenticate using Network Credentials box.
