iPad Accessories Available

We have iPad accessories available for checkout from the library. Students or staff are welcome to check out any of the equipment to use for school projects.

Available equipment includes:

  • a snowball microphone w/ tripod & cords (for recording sound from one stationary spot)
  • a tripod mount (connects iPad to a tripod)
  • cords to connect iPad to projector (for images and sound)
  • adapters for USB port and SD card

I have used the microphone and tripod numerous times for recording video and think they do a great job of enhancing the quality of your video picture and sound.

Sterling Reads blog

The library is looking for students and staff members willing to write book reviews for the Sterling Reads library blog. Special thanks to Taya W., who wrote the latest reviews. Check out the blog at http://sterlingreads.blogspot.com/.

RECENT ACQUISITIONS

Stop by the library to check out one of these new books! If the book you want is already checked out, we'd be glad to put a "hold" on it for you and add your name to the waiting list. When the book comes in, we'll send you an email to let you know it's ready to pick up. Special thanks to MidWest Energy ($600) and the South Central Community Foundation ($100) for funding our new book purchases.

Newsletter question winner

Congrats to Anthony K. who correctly answered the question from the last Library Connections newsletter. Anthony won a gift card to Gambino's pizza for knowing that MidWest Energy was the organization who provided a $600 grant to the SHS library for new books.

Library Newsletter QUESTION

With each Library Connections newsletter, we will include a question that can be answered by reading the newsletter. Write down your answer along with your name on a piece of paper and turn it in to the library to be entered in a drawing to win a fabulous prize!
