2021 STMA HOMECOMING
SENIOR SUNRISE
ROTARY STUDENTS OF THE MONTH
The St. Michael-Albertville Rotary Club is pleased to announce that St. Michael-Albertville High School juniors Alexander Boltz, Praise Hanson and Isabella Rice were recognized as the Rotary Students of the month for September.
“Rotary is very proud to recognize Alexander, Praise and Isabella as students of the
month,” said Derek Brant, STMA Rotary Club President. “They have demonstrated a
commitment to academic excellence and represent the service above self ideals of
Rotary. We wish them a successful future.” The STMA Rotary Club honors students of the month during each month of the school year. The awards are given during the students’ junior year so they may include them on college applications and scholarship forms.
STMA OPERATING LEVY
On November 2, 2021, STMA residents will be asked to maintain our tradition of excellence by voting on an operating levy.
WHAT MAY HAPPEN WITHOUT A LEVY?
Our primary goal is to ensure that our stakeholders are informed about the upcoming operating levy. Below is a list of programming specific to STMA HS that will be impacted without an approved levy.
* Elimination of Advanced Courses
* Elimination of lower level activities
* Elimination of academic support courses
* Elimination of programs
* Class sizes in mid 40's across all subject areas.

MENTAL HEALTH
It is important to recognize that we cannot fill our mind with negative thoughts and expect a positive outcome. Thinking positively, even in the toughest of situations, opens our minds up to more positive thoughts. Subsequently, when we can spread positivity, we are making a difference for others and helping them embrace positivity as well.
The pandemic has been difficult on many levels. Framing intentional conversations with your students about their perspective is important. Below are some questions that can be used to view things from a more positive perspective.
What are some positive things occurring as a result of the pandemic?
How are you thinking positively about this?
How have you seen people showing positivity towards others?
